Big Chip 2016 – We’ve Been Shortlisted!

Now in their eighteenth year, Big Chip awards are eagerly awaited by people across the digital industry – and even more so when you are shortlisted for an award….

And especially exciting when you have been shortlisted for not one but two awards…

This year, our entry for our lovely client Moda Furnishings has been shortlisted by the judging panel for Best B2C E-business Project .

And as a double whammy we have also been shortlisted for our work with BargainMax.co.uk in the same category.

From 2011, the Big Chip awards expanded their remit opening the entries from anywhere in the North of England.

Run by and for the industry by trade association, Manchester Digital, the awards also come with support and help from organisations including Digital Union in the North East, Creative Sheffield, user groups and networks in Leeds and Liverpool, as well as industry volunteers.

The awards are known for the highest standards of objectivity and are judged by a distinguished panel of experts from the industry.

We’ve said it before; awards are the icing on the cake for us, when we can demonstrate real results for our clients that finish with being shortlisted for an industry recognized accolade, it’s the cherry on top of a fantastic cake.

We know that reviews and recommendations are a critical part of the purchase journey when a consumer is looking to make a purchase – and it’s the same in our discipline.

A review or a recommendation for our business is often a stronger new business enquiry that a five way pitch with a company that doesn’t know our business, our processes or how we work.

A recommendation from a trusted source – generating earned media for our product or service demonstrates that a third party will endorse us and gives gravitas to our credibility.

Being shortlisted for an award provides us with credibility and endorsement from respected and rated peers. We feel it gives us recognition and (hopefully) helps create a point of difference for our company, our practice and the results we can generate.

And of course – we would be lying if we didn’t say we love a good awards do.
