Introducing the World’s First Magento 2.0 Enterprise Edition Website

The release and launch of e-commerce platform Magento 2.0 has been big news in the tech world, and it’s taken only a matter of days for a company to utilise all that this CMS has to offer. Australian menswear company Venroy have openly claimed to be operating using Magento 2.0, and if this is indeed the case, it appears we have been introduced to the world’s first Magento 2.0 Enterprise Edition website already.

Why The Move To Magento 2.0?

Venroy decided to opt for a fresh approach in their e-commerce solutions after coming to the conclusion that their current site was turning stale. In a recent interview, the co-founder of the menswear organisation confessed that the Venroy site had been running on inferior software for far too long, having been built several years ago on what is now considered to be extremely dated technology. In time they decided enough was enough, and turned to Netstarter for the implementation work. A logical decision many would agree, given Netstarter’s history of working with clothing brands in the past – Camilla, Glue Store and Converse to name a few. In the space of just five weeks, a new site was launched powered by the features of the brand new Magento 2.0 Enterprise Edition.

The Results

Since utilising Magento 2.0, Venroy have seen a 40% decrease in website page loading times, allowing users to click their way around the site at mightily increased speeds. Even more impressive, however, is the rate at which conversions have increased since Magento 2.0 became the chosen platform for this menswear company. Numbers in this department have boosted 38% for the desktop version of the site, and an enormous 65% for the mobile version. This has ultimately led to a substantial and rapid upturn in revenue.

Many of the positive statistical changes are down to the expansive range of exciting new features which are sewn into the essential fabric of Magento 2.0. These include elements such as responsive design support, Dotmailer integration, optimised checkout services, a faceted search service and global versioning. Owner Venturi also pointed to the flexibility of the backend of Magento 2.0 as being a key component, and expressed his joy at how his staff were not forced to reprogram and rebuild the infrastructure. He also highlighted the impressive user-friendliness of the Admin panel in Magento 2.0, championing its capability and stating how “it makes it easy…to do our job without having to worry about the technical stuff”.

It’s clear that the world’s first Magento 2.0 Enterprise Edition website is proving its worth, and there could be bright times ahead for any other businesses who are looking to follow suit.
