Moving a Global B2B brand onto a fully responsive M2 solution

Hartmann Direct is a global leader in healthcare solutions, supplying to the public, care homes and to the NHS. Their range of products cover personal healthcare, disinfection, incontinence and wound management.
Their objectives & targets
Hartmann Direct wanted a digital partner to build their new site, incorporating all of their custom needs and integrate with their other internal systems. The main objective for the site was to reduce the work load for their team and also to provide them with a system which was easy to maintain, extend and update.
Ambitious targets for the first 12 months of the new site were set. The team were looking for a 20% increase in their conversion rate and a 72% increase in their monthly sessions.
What we did
Our re-platforming of the Hartmann Direct website from a bespoke CMS to Magento 2, gave the Hartmann team a quick and simple way to maintain and update their site as well as seamlessly integrating with their internal systems. Their customer service system, custom delivery rules and custom VAT rules based on their user's business type were all integrated with Magento to provide one system for staff to maintain.
The new Hartmann Direct design needed to showcase their updated brand and work beautifully on mobile devices as their previous site was desktop only. Their content needed to be optimised to offer quality images to their users, without a cost to site speed and load.
As part of the new site design and build we incorporated their custom product selector, which was particularly important for their audience as getting the right product from such a broad range can be daunting. The product selector has seen an increase in use of 377% and the conversion rate of these users has also increased by 18%.
